Summary: Upgrade of Yale Central Authentication Service (CAS) - November 10, 2010
On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, ITS is updating the Yale Central Authentication Service (CAS). CAS is a login service used to authenticate you as a Yale faculty, staff or student and allows access to restricted Yale resources via the web. After the upgrade, your CAS login and password will remain the same.
The update includes new features and a new look. While making the interface consistent with other Yale applications is the most noticeable change, there are other improvements. For example, CAS is now more user friendly for use with mobile devices, and if you forget your password you will be able to change it directly from the login screen.
Below are before and after examples of the CAS login screens. If you have any questions or comments, please contact your local support provider or the ITS Help Desk at 203-432-9000 or email email@example.com.
Before the upgrade:
After the upgrade on November 10, 2010:
Please remember the security and privacy of your online identity is critical to your work at Yale. A major cause of compromise is sharing your password. NEVER share your personal passwords with anyone. Not ever. Not your friends, co-workers or even your Yale supervisor.
