To the Yale College Community:

We have received information about a possible sexual assault involving Yale undergraduates that occurred at an off campus party on 2/19.

We are investigating the matter, but I would also like to take this opportunity to remind all students to exercise care in social settings, especially where alcohol is involved.  If you are ever concerned about your safety or that of another member of the Yale community, please call the Yale Police for assistance.  If you have been the victim of an assault or are concerned about a friend, you can also get advice and assistance from the Sexual Harassment and Assault Resource and Education Center (which has a 24/7 direct hot line - 203-432-6653), Yale University Health Services (203-432-0123) and/or your residential college dean and master.

Sincerely,

Ronnell A. Higgins

Chief of Police
